CIAM after Auth0 / Okta CIC consolidation
Host · Practice lead, CIAM
Five rules, plainly.
- 01
Be substantive. Anecdote + lesson learned > opinion + recap. If you would not say it in a code review, do not say it here.
- 02
No vendor-shaming. Critique design or product behavior, not the people who built it.
- 03
No closed-source pitches in #general. Vendors get a #vendor-corner channel; respect the line.
- 04
No NDA leaks. If you would lose your job over the message, do not paste it.
- 05
Cite when you claim. "Microsoft said X in Y blog" beats "someone at Microsoft said X."
Mods are practice leads from the askmeidentity team. Bans are issued sparingly but without appeal for harassment, doxxing, or sharing material under NDA. Mod actions are logged in #mod-log.
