Privacy Policy
Effective May 1, 2026
This privacy policy describes how askmeidentity, Inc. (“askmeidentity”) handles personal information collected through askmeidentity.com and through our service engagements. We aim for clarity over legalese — questions are welcome at [email protected].
Information we collect
We collect information you provide directly through forms on this website (Request Services, Submit Resume, and Contact). The fields are scoped to the inquiry — typically name, work email, company, and the brief you choose to share. We do not require sensitive personal information at intake.
We collect a minimal set of automatically generated technical signals: IP address, user agent, referring page, and the pages you load. We do not run third-party advertising trackers and we do not sell or share this data.
How we use the information
- To respond to your request — service intake, candidate evaluation, or general contact.
- To match candidate applications against open engagements on our active bench.
- To prevent abuse and to operate the site reliably (rate limiting, error monitoring).
- To meet legal obligations, including responding to lawful requests by public authorities.
Sharing
We do not sell personal information. We share limited information with the operators that run this site (cloud hosting, error monitoring, transactional email). Each is bound by a data-processing agreement.
For client engagements, we share only the information required to deliver the engagement, and only with authorized client contacts. Candidate information is never sent to a client without the candidate’s written consent.
Retention
Form submissions are retained for two years from the last interaction, then deleted unless the engagement requires longer retention (in which case the engagement contract governs). Candidate applications are retained on the active bench for 90 days; we will delete them sooner on request.
Your rights
Depending on where you live, you may have rights to access, correct, delete, or port your personal information, and to opt out of certain processing. To exercise these rights, email [email protected]. We will respond within 30 days.
Security
We protect personal information with reasonable administrative, technical, and physical safeguards. No system is perfectly secure; if you believe your information has been compromised, contact [email protected].
Updates
We will update this policy when our practices change. The effective date above always reflects the latest revision. Material changes will be flagged at the top of this page for at least 30 days.
